Derrick Constantine

Hello All!

So in reviewing the interviews with the past stars who have graced the After Hours couch, I've come to the revelation that Derrick Constantine of Cold Blooded was cheated out of his time! Every interview, with the exception of Bane Lockhart who received 53, has been 50 questions long! Derrick's when it was originally released on January 21, 2014 totaled only 30! Gasp! I know! I could not believe that this happened and have decided to rectify this injustice directly! So here it is, the re-released interview with everyone's favorite British Vampire, Derrick Constantine. The newly added questions begin at: What is the most important thing you've accomplished in your career? Fourth to the last picture!

Enjoy!

After Hours: Kaya Villalobos

What did you do to prepare yourself for the role of “Kaya Villalobos” in the series After Midnight?
I called over one of my best friends and we binge watched every werewolf series we could get our hands on. I wanted to get my mannerisms right as far as how a werewolf walked and how a werewolf presented itself. And then I realized it was a bad idea when I watched some of the auditions before me. I think everyone else had the same notion I had and so to stand out from the others, I went completely against the “normal” werewolf traditions and what do you know? It’s what got their attention!

What’s surprised you the most about being selected for this role?
Being selected for this role! There were some amazing actresses who came out to audition for the chance to play “Kaya Villalobos” on screen. And compared to some, I hesitate to mention names, but I wasn’t as experienced as a few. It shocked me when I got the call but I couldn’t be more grateful! This has been an amazing experience and I have had a great time working with the cast and production teams.

What’s the biggest myth about playing a supernatural character in After Midnight?
That we all have to be animal lovers. I mean most of the cast are, but there are a few who aren’t really fond of their wolf counterparts. Whether it stems from personal childhood traumas or not they prefer doing their scenes with a green screen than having to work with the animal actors on set. Personally though, I can’t get enough of Sabrina, the American Gray Wolf who portrays my character when things get a bit “hairier.” Shes such a lovable pooch!

After Hours: Mica Kimura

What did you do to prepare yourself for the role of “Mica Kimura” in the series Codename: Danger?
Nothing really. Other than reading the script A LOT. I have a terrible memory so I had to make sure I didn’t mess up my lines.

What’s surprised you the most about being selected for this role?
I had been a fan for a long time and when I got the call to do a small role as a blind date I was thrilled. All of the guys are great looking, but I had the biggest crush on Dusty. When I found out he was the one I was paired with, I was even more excited for the role.

What’s the biggest myth about playing a character in Codename: Danger?
That everyone has to know how to use a gun. I just know to point the shooty end away from me and that’s about it. I was really glad I wouldn’t have to do any action scenes. Well, many action scenes.

What’s the most challenging part about your role?
The on screen sex scenes. I’m a shy person so the idea of having to ‘perform’ with people watching really freaked me out. Luckily I was paired with Dusty and he was great at helping to calm me, and ease my fears. It also helps he’s freaking HOT! In the end, getting that close to a person naturally, at least for us, lead to an off screen romance.
