“Oh, that felt so good! Being on that stage after so long. To hear our music in my ears again,” Kaya swayed in his arms taking it all in. The excitement of all those times swooping over her like a warm, familiar blanket. It felt good seeing and feeling like her old self again; something only performing could bring out. “…and the crowd was amazing!”

Rafe enjoyed gazing at her now, exactly the way she was before…before everything. She was so happy she was trembling in his arms; the adrenaline from performing still coursing through her veins. If only she could be like this all the time—free and happy. He closed his eyes and took in a deep breath; taking in the wonderful scent her body was generating. “I missed you,” he whispered, meaning this carefree side of her, “very much.”
